Mountain bikers encounter six Bull Elk monsters at Rocky Mountain National Park

Those big boys stick together, huh?

A few mountain bikers were roaming the trails in Rocky Mountain National Park when they came across the Absolute Units crew.

Six of the most beautiful bull elk you’ll ever see, strolling down a mountain road together.

Certainly a bit of a daunting scene, but with the velvet still on the antlers, these bulls aren’t in heat yet (why they’re traveling in their bachelor party). But when the velvet falls and it’s time to mate in the fall, these bulls won’t be too friendly.

In fact, they will seek to fight for every cow in town.

Nevertheless, an absolutely amazing way to experience nature.

Descended on our bikes today at Rocky Mountain National Park and had to stop to let this group of Bull Elks pass.

Camouflaged Bowhunter stands face to face with a herd of elk

Sneaking into a heard elk?

Almost impossible.

But for bowhunter Chris Burandt, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience:

“Probably one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced!

Me and my longtime hunting buddy, Hill Guides & Outfitters, sat here for 15 minutes watching this group of elk do what they do. Watching the bull hear his cows so close was amazing.

I would say the new SubAlpine Sitka Gear is the real deal! Who knew elk loved Kifaru, International backpacks too.

The elk get spooked eventually, but you can bet something like this will probably never happen again.
