The first details of the Coffs Coast Rally which will take place on and around the Coffs Coast from November 25-27 have been confirmed, with Raleigh Raceway confirming that it will host a super special stage during the event.

Serving as the final of both the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship and the RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship (ARC), the event will take place at the end of November.

The two stages confirmed for Raleigh Raceway will feature thrilling side-by-side races between the best rally crews from Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

Taking place over a two kilometer stage, the crews will be paired with another similar seeded crew where they will race against the clock and against each other on the specially designed course.

To eliminate any advantage, the crews will then exchange their starting places for the second passage of the stage.

Open to spectators, the super special stages will take place on the Saturday afternoon of the event, starting in the afternoon and ending under the lights.

Exciting style is quite rare in Australian rallies, with the 2019 Adelaide Hill Rally being the latest event to put on this kind of spectacle.

During this event, the crews competed under the lights of the newly constructed circuit, The Bend Motorsport Park.

Raleigh Raceway regularly holds rallycross events at club level and was a major part of Rally Australia, but this will be the first time two cars have gone side-by-side in competition.

More details on the ARC final round will be released in the coming weeks.
